U Street is fast becoming one of Washington's hubs of nightlife. Jazz clubs, rock clubs, bars, nightclubs, art galleries, restaurants with food from around the world, and other trappings of the night world sit side-by-side with coffee shops, neighborhood burger joints, and mom-and-pop stores that make the neighborhood such an attractive place during the day. U Street is in the middle of a construction boom and has some of the District's newest buildings, meaning that ultra-modern amenities are often the norm in the neighborhood. The U Street neighborhood is bounded by 7th and 15th Streets between Logan Circle and Florida Avenue.
